I have a 97 camaro and it wont crank at all now. it was running fine for about a minute then would shut off, motor and tranny has been changed, would it be too much air where the front is open where the tube for the 3.8 is lost going to the air filter. can i try a after market filter? or is it a securtiy or is it something to do with the ecm, im kinda lost.

There is a whole range of problems that cause a no-start. It could be as simple as a fuse or relay, or something more complex like the fuel pump or ECM. Without actually seeing and hearing and running several different test, there is no way to know for sure.
