I have an 2007 Mustang GT. It acts like it has a miss at low steady speeds. It feels more like it surges at higher speeds. The problem will not set a code. I took it to the dealer who kept it all day. The dealership told me they could see something going on but could not figure out what it was. So $300 later, I am still without a fix. Can you help?

Ford COP systems are like that. If there are no codes, slight misfire/surge issues can be difficult to trace. I’m sure the technician was as frustrated as you at not being able to pinpoint the problem. These are OE engineering issues usually, not a lack of effort or competence. I would suggest a throttle body cleaning and a careful mass air flow sensor cleaning. Next step might be a "smoke machine" test to look for intake manifold vacuum
leaks.

It’s been estimated that fraudulent warranty claims cost auto parts stores $600 million every year.
