AMSTERDAM — ReMaTec2015 will take place June 14-16 at Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Centre and alongside other important events such as the World Reman Summit, ICoR, Choice Tech and the Circular Economy Seminar, show organizers say.

ReMaTec will host the range of first-class industry conferences and events in an attempt to further broaden the scope of the event. The show offers visitors a 10,000-square-meter show floor filled with the latest trends and developments in the remanufacturing industry. Visitors will be able to register separately for the side events, that are expected to draw an audience of experts from across the remanufacturing spectrum and beyond.

Niels Klarenbeek of ReMaTec said, ‘With these events we aim to link different areas of the remanufacturing sector together. With events taking place before, during and after the remanufacturing show we want to offer visitors even more opportunities to network and improve their industry knowledge.”

Some of the events are technical and linked very closely to the content found on the ReMaTec show floor. Choice Tech 2015, to be held June1 13, is a technical seminar providing in-depth information and practical tips for rebuilders of automatic transmissions. “Over the years the seminars have been warmly welcomed by many rebuilders who want to stay on top,” explains organizer Maron de Groot from Automatic Choice.

On June 15, the Circular Economy Seminar, organized by Circle Economy, will focus on the growing importance to the reman industry. “Our seminar is targeted at companies that are interested in the business opportunities of the circular economy approach, and we welcome everyone from R&D and innovation experts to CEOs from SMEs to join,” said Arjanna van der Plas of Circle Economy. “The primary focus will be the lessons that can be learnt from frontrunners in remanufacturing that already have years of experience in applying circular principles.”

Taking place June 15-16 by the universities of Strathclyde and Linköping, ICoR 2015 gathers global knowledge and expertise in remanufacturing practice and research from industry and academia.

“We chose Amsterdam as the location for ICoR 2015 as it links what is largely an academic conference with the most well-known reman trade exhibition,” says Dr. James Windmill of the University of Strathclyde. During the event, some 40 international research papers on remanufacturing will be presented.

Following previous successful editions in Germany, China and the U.S., this year’s World Reman Summit will be held on June 16-17 at Amsterdam RAI. Speakers from across the globe will share their vision and experiences as part of a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art remanufacturing technology and business development. “This is the only conference in the world that combines the various industries concerned with remanufacturing, rather than only focusing on automotive, aerospace or computers,” organizer Prof. Rolf Steinhilper of Bayreuth University explains. “The main focus of the summit is to get people from the industry – both big players and independents – talking to an audience and among themselves about the challenges of, and next steps for our sector.”

All events will be organised at RAI Exhibition Centre between June 13-17. Visitors should register separately for each event, and can find more information at www.rematec.com/side-events.
