ALLENTOWN Pa. and DES MOINES, Iowa – Two aftermarket solutions providers – MAM Software and GCommerce – have announced the completion of an integrated functionality for the “purchase order to invoice” cycle, designed for warehouse distributors using MAM Software’s Autopart ERP system.

According to the two companies, this new feature enables connectivity with a network of more than 900 automotive parts manufacturers, facilitating electronic purchase orders, the confirmation of purchase order receipt by the manufacturer, early electronic notification of a product being shipped and the completion of “3-Way Match” reconciliation – the latter of which compares what was ordered against what was received and invoiced.

The new functionality supports Super Spec, a set of industry specific EDI requirements, and will benefit both distributors and manufacturers by improving speed and accuracy from purchase order to payment, says Steve Smith, president of GCommerce.

“Working with MAM Software to realize the highest level of automation in the procurement cycle will drive out cost from the aftermarket supply chain,” Smith noted.
