MAM Announces Update To Business Intelligence Tool

New pivot feature and additional data fields increase scope of EMI, company says.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – MAM Software has announced the latest software update for its business intelligence tool, EMI+. Version 1.3 includes a new "pivot" feature and additional data dimensions that MAM says further extend the application’s analysis and reporting capabilities.

EMI+ is a business intelligence application that helps users undertake an accurate assessment of a company’s performance. Integrating directly with MAM’s Autopart business management application, it delivers the reliable, up-to-date information organizations need to respond to challenging conditions and make informed decisions, the company says.

The new "pivot" feature enables users to analyze performance on a month-by-month basis. It allows data to be broken down for the currently selected reporting period so that historical trends can be easily identified.

MAM says EMI+ v1.3 also enables more data fields to be analyzed. New dimensions have been added, including tire data (e.g. width, profile, speed rating), custom fields from the customer database and delivery address. It also features a new "value mode" of working days and the ability to e-mail data directly from the analysis screen.

"More and more businesses are beginning to identify the importance of integrated business intelligence," said Brian Allibon, president of MAM Software. "By offering valuable insight into a business’s performance, EMI+ allows users to understand their customers’ buying habits and tailor their offering to maximize sales opportunities. Version 1.3 further enhances the user experience by providing additional tools that enable users to easily find the information they need, when they need it."

Allibon added that this latest release is part of an ongoing development program that will see the introduction of further enhancements over the coming months.

"We have a number of exciting features planned including a major new stock analysis module, daily sales analysis and sales projections," he said.
