MAM Catalog Helps ASAP Automotive Warehouse Deliver On Customer Service

MAM Catalog Helps ASAP Automotive Warehouse Deliver On Customer Service

The web-based catalog is designed for fast parts look-up, so counter staff can quickly provide their customers with accurate information at point of sale.

ASAP Automotive Warehouse (ASAP) has enlisted MAM Software’s Autocat electronic parts catalog to better process transactions and improve its customer service. The company was already using MAM Software’s Autopart business management solution to handle tasks such as accounting and warehouse management.

Based in Midvale, Utah, ASAP Automotive Warehouse is a 100% wholesale operation that manages four distribution centers to supply auto parts in Salt Lake City. The company prides itself on offering customers a high level of service, and using Autocat will fit in well with this ethos, said the company.

The web-based catalog is designed for fast parts look-up, so counter staff can quickly provide their customers with accurate information at point of sale. Data is updated quickly and automatically without any effort from the distributor, allowing ASAP to focus on other areas of its operations. The company has deployed Autocat across its four distribution centers.

“Autocat is built in ACES format – the same format that manufacturers use when creating the data,” explained Al Neal, vice president of sales for MAM Software.

This makes it easier to manage the exchange of data between suppliers and MAM Software’s catalog. Data can be published to Autocat within five to seven days, and once the information appears, it refreshes on an almost daily basis.

“That means that instead of a long data mapping process, our time and attention can be focused on quality assurance and getting the data in the hands of the countermen as quickly as possible,” added Neal.

Kelly Peterson, vice president of ASAP Automotive Warehouse, said: “Autocat has worked very well for us. Having the most current data and a fast look-up process helps us provide the best possible service to our customers.”

Mike Jamieson, president and CEO of MAM Software, noted, “Working with ASAP Automotive Warehouse has been a very positive experience for MAM Software.

“As one of the early adopters of Autocat, they have been instrumental in progressing this solution forward. We are fortunate to have them partnering with us and making us a better software provider.”
