MEYLE Oil Change Kits Available For Automatic Transmissions

New MEYLE kits from Wulf Gaertner Autoparts come with all accessories required for automatic transmission oil change.

HAMBURG, Germany — Under its MEYLE brand, Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG now also offers oil change kits for automatic transmissions. Featuring 30 new repair-friendly full-service kits, the range covers more than 2,800 vehicle applications equipped with popular gearbox types. This allows workshops to offer an even wider spectrum of maintenance services. The kits feature all components required for time-effective, high-quality oil change, the company says.

A regular oil change is one of the most frequent car servicing procedures required to maintain excellent shifting comfort and smooth running behaviour. Changing gearbox oil at regular intervals also helps extend transmission life considerably. Ideally, the oil change should be performed every 60,000 to 80,000 kilometres depending on driving technique. A gearbox oil change not only helps increase overall vehicle life significantly, it also allows workshops to generate additional sales and win loyal customers. However, many workshops fail to take advantage of this opportunity, as changing the oil on automatic transmissions can be an awkward and time-consuming process: the suitable mounting hardware including screws, filters, seals etc. need to be readily at hand along with specified oil for the gearbox in question, thus running the risk of being uneconomical.

"Our new oil change kits arm workshops with a full-service solutions allowing them to seamlessly integrate oil changes into workshop routine without any additional effort and to offer one-stop services to their customers," says Sven Nielsen, technical director at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts. The MEYLE kits come with a full set of components including filters, seals, screws, drain/intake plugs, magnets and four to eight litres of ATF transmission fluid depending on the application. All accessory parts meet the stringent MEYLE quality requirements, the company says.

There are 30 different kits available, covering more than 2,800 applications, with more applications to come. The right kit for gearbox types from ZF, Mercedes and VW DSG can be easily identified, the company says. "The large number of available kits makes our range unique on the market and enables repair professionals to offer automatic gearbox oil change as one of their core services," added Nielsen.

In-depth information on the full range of MEYLE oil change kits can be found in a Wulf Gaertner Autoparts catalogue available for download on the company’s webpage www.meyle.com.
