MEYLE Releases New Water Pump Repair Kits For VW, Audi, Renault, Peugot

meyle-drivers-best-friendHAMBURG, Germany — MEYLE presents the latest additions to its range: MEYLE-ORIGINAL water pump repair kits for VW, Audi, Renault, Peugeot and Citroën models. Hamburg, Germany-based manufacturer MEYLE offers full-service kits containing all parts required for the timing belt change complemented by the corresponding water pump in MEYLE-ORIGINAL or MEYLE-HD quality. Any water pump included in the kit comes with a 100,000-miles (160,934 kilometres) minimum performance guarantee – in addition to the respective guarantee period, the company said.

The timing belt needs to be replaced according to the service intervals specified by the manufacturer. With all components optimally geared to each other, the MEYLE water pump kits for VW, Audi, Renault, Peugeot and Citroën applications are a great all-in-one solution ensuring professional timing belt change, MEYLE says. The kits contain the timing belt and a full set of mounting parts along with tensioners and idlers. Also included: the corresponding water pump in MEYLE-ORIGINAL or MEYLE-HD quality, as it is highly recommended to have the water pump replaced along with remaining system components.

Most MEYLE repair kits come with a water pump featuring an SiC/SiC mechanical seals which offers a level of quality exceeding by far the standards typically found on the aftermarket. Leading car makers also rely on this type of sealing which is fitted in MEYLE-ORIGINAL water pumps. All water pumps included in the kits come with a 100,000-miles (160,934 kilometres) minimum performance guarantee – in addition to the respective guarantee period.

MEYLE workshop advice No. 1: To avoid repeated repairs, the MEYLE engineers recommend that the water pump be replaced along with the timing belt. The reason: both system components have the same mileage and amount of wear. Therefore, if only one component is replaced, the second is likely to require replacement shortly after.

MEYLE workshop advice No. 2: When replacing the water pump, the entire cooling system needs to be flushed thoroughly prior to refilling the system with new coolant. Adhere to the manufacturer’s specifications at all times. This video tutorial provides further information on how to flush the cooling system: https://youtu.be/i0Hy3eTq5eY.
