MOOG Steering And Suspension Line Now Covers More Than 60 Million Additional Repair Opportunities

 There were 241 new MOOG parts added during the first five months of 2015.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — The MOOG Steering and Suspension line now covers more than 60 million additional vehicle repair opportunities through Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ ongoing investment in new products and application coverage. A division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., Motorparts introduced 241 new MOOG part numbers through the first five months of 2015.  MOOG is the preferred choice of professional technicians and the Official Steering and Suspension of NASCAR.

“Our commitment to the success of automotive service providers includes developing and introducing innovative parts that address fast-emerging repair opportunities among today’s foreign nameplate and domestic passenger vehicles,” said Mark Boyle, director, steering and suspension products, North America, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “By relying on MOOG, service providers can be certain they have high-quality, problem-solving parts to meet the needs of today’s vehicle owners.”

Among the MOOG parts introduced this year are 112 control arms and assemblies, 24 wheel hub assemblies, 23 tie rod ends, 23 coil spring sets, 20 stabilizer link kits, 17 bushing kits, 14 complete strut assemblies, seven ball joints, and one track bar. The latest parts include MOOG Problem Solver front inner tie rod ends for nearly 600,000 General Motors light trucks and SUVs, model years 2014-2015, and approximately 447,000 Chevrolet Camaros, model years 2001-2006. Front inner tie rod ends also were introduced for more than 830,000 Hyundai Elantra, Elantra Coupe, Elantra GT and Veloster models from 2011-2015, and more than 1.3 million Hyundai Azera and Sonata and Kia Cadenza and Optima models manufactured between 2011 and 2014.

Also introduced were MOOG complete strut assemblies for approximately 433,000 Ford Expedition SUVs from the 2007-2012 model years and over 400,000 2001-2006 Chrysler Sebring Convertibles.

The MOOG brand, the preferred choice of professional technicians and NASCAR crew chiefs, is in its 50th year of Cup competition. In recognition of the vital importance of steering and suspension components in overall vehicle safety and performance, NASCAR now requires that Cup teams use MOOG Problem Solver parts, specifically balls joints and tie rod ends. Cup Series champions have chosen MOOG parts for 49 consecutive years.
