NAPA Auto Parts to Provide Car Care for LeMay — America’s Car Museum

TACOMA, Wash. – NAPA Auto Parts has signed an agreement with LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM) to design and fully equip the NAPA AutoCare Center at ACM, the four-story, Tacoma, Wash., museum set to open in May 2012.

“Car owners go to NAPA Auto Parts when they need parts for their vehicle, and our museum is no different, except we have hundreds of cars with thousands of parts,” said David Madeira, president and CEO of ACM.

“In addition to providing everything we need to properly maintain our cars – some of which are more than 100 years old – the NAPA AutoCare Center will be a locale where we hold clinics for future generations of ‘car guys and girls’ to learn how to keep America driving.”

The NAPA AutoCare Center at ACM will be located inside the 165,000-square-foot museum, and will feature multiple bays outfitted with NAPA parts, tools and equipment to service the museum’s wide collection of vehicles.

“Through our stores and service centers, NAPA has kept cars on the road in America since 1925, so it’s quite natural for us to now tend to the complete stable of vehicles at America’s Car Museum,” said Art Fischer, president and general manager of NAPA Seattle. “This museum depicts America’s love affair with the automobile and we look forward to taking loving care of ACM’s impressive collection as well as assisting the Museum with its educational mission.”
