National Performance Warehouse Announces Its Second Acquisition In 30 Days

Expansion of operations continues with addition of Sacramento-based Motor Warehouse. Deal is set to close Sept. 30.

MIAMI — National Performance Warehouse Companies has announced the acquisition of Motor Warehouse in Sacramento, Calif.

It is NPW’s second acquisition in 30 days and becomes its ninth location.

“We said we would grow by acquisition," said Larry Pacey, NPW president and CEO. "We stated we have a lot of irons in the fire and this is one of those examples of the timing being right and we used one of the irons. Motor Warehouse specializes in engine parts, so whether your LS-6, Hemi, Coyote, Cummins or ’29 Caddy needs an overhaul, we can provide the parts and the expertise. Where else can you buy an engine kit for a Model T?"

"We are excited about the scope of the engine parts business this lets us specialize in," Pacey continued.

Motor Warehouse will be maintaining the current staff and management to continue to service the customers in their historic fashion, NPW said.

“The Motor Warehouse team is proud of what this family owned and operated business has done since our founding in the ’30s," said David “DK” Kenmonth, the new vice president, Engine Components of now NPW’s Motor Warehouse and the previous owner and president. "I am excited about having the resources of NPW to grow and expand beyond our historic footprint. With our proud heritage we are very excited about being the engine part professionals of the National Performance Warehouse Companies family.”

Motor Warehouse has been in the engine parts business since 1933.

Founded in 1969, National Performance Warehouse Companies (NPW) is a leader in marketing traditional, performance and truck accessories in North America. The company stocks a wide range of products in its nine locations across the United States and Canada. Motor Warehouse is a division of National Auto Parts Warehouse.
