MIAMI — National Performance Warehouse (NPW) has purchased one of the Northeast’s premier performance parts businesses. Racer’s Equipment has been in business for more than 50 years, serving all varieties of automotive enterprises in the New England area. Racer’s is the regional wholesale specialist in marketing and selling brand name lines for Jeeps, trucks, SUVs, off-roading, hotrods, muscle cars, drag and circle track cars and street performance. Racers also is a longstanding member of The AAM Group and has a large number of Parts Pro & Total Truck jobbers in the Northeast.

“Since we started our expansion by acquisition, we constantly seek the right opportunity that is a fit for our company,” said Larry Pacey, president and CEO of NPW. “We want to be in the right areas to service customers the same or next day and Racer’s helps us fill the New England corridor. I have known Ralph Accinno, Racer’s founder, for many years and I feel our involvement here is good succession plan for the future growth of Racer’s. We constantly search for opportunities to enhance our three major categories we cater to. Whenever we find traditional, engine or performance and accessory companies that are available, we investigate for the fit and Racer’s is a good fit.”

“When you build something from the foundation on up, you want to see it continue on and I am confident that the Company will be in good hands,” Accinno said. “With all of NPW’s acquisitions, customers, employees and vendors have all prospered.”

The National Performance Warehouse Companies now operates nine distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada: Four facilities in Florida: Miami (2), Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa; Ajax, Ontario, Canada; Warwick, R.I.; and three facilities in California: Vernon, Sacramento and San Jose.
