MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – Arnott Air Suspension Products recently introduced new, Arnott-engineered aftermarket air suspension struts for the front right side and front left side of the 2006 to 2011 Audi A6, Avant, allroad Quattro and S6 (C6 Chassis; TYP 4F).

AS-2816 and AS-2817 are new – not remanufactured – assemblies designed to replace OE Part Numbers:

  • 4F0 616 040 S and 4F0 616 040 AA (right)
  • 4F0 616 039 S and 4F0 616 039 AA (left)

AS-2816 and AS-2817 replace the OE strut and often-problematic adaptive damping found on remanufactured units and feature a new custom-tuned shock absorber, calibrated to provide an excellent ride and outstanding performance, according to the company.

The Arnott air struts include a new air bladder from ContiTech protected by an aluminum can, along with a CNC-machined top mount made from aircraft-quality aluminum. The American-assembled air struts feature Arnott’s long-lasting seals, O-rings, bumpstop, heavy-duty crimping rings, new air fitting and connector valve along with a dust boot to protect the strut.

AS-2816 and AS-2817 retail for $699 each and are backed by Arnott’s limited lifetime warranty. A limited-time $75 used strut core return rebate applies to each new Arnott air strut.
