New FRAM Racing Oil Filter Product Line Designed To Provide Winner’s Circle-Worthy Engine Performance

The new filters are ideal for use in racing and high-performance streetcars, and designed to help provide the winning edge in extreme operating conditions, the company says.

fram-logo-600LAKE FOREST, Ill. — FRAM, a leading choice in filtration products, is pleased to announce the availability of its new Racing Oil Filter product line. The new filters are ideal for use in racing and high-performance streetcars, and designed to help provide the winning edge in extreme operating conditions.

The operation of high-performance vehicles puts tremendous pressure on the engine. To overcome these challenging operating conditions, FRAM Racing Oil Filters offer a number of performance-enhancing features, including a heavy-gauge tapping plate and extra-thick* outer shell that withstands high-pressure flexing. FRAM designed its new Racing Oil Filters with a screen-over by-pass valve for protection against larger contaminants (not included on HP17 or HP6 models), steel end caps, and a spiral-shaped center tube to protect against filter collapse. With a maximum burst pressure of 350 to 500 psi** and maximum operating pressure of 200 psi**, these new filters can withstand demanding racing conditions.

fram-racing-oil-filter“We understand and are in tune with the wants and needs of the racing and high-performance automobile markets,” said Jay M. Buckley, director, Technical Training for FRAM. “We have taken their strict requirements for oil-filter performance into consideration when designing our new Racing Oil Filters, and are confident that they will satisfy the need for reliable, standard-setting performance in demanding automotive applications.”

FRAM Racing Oil Filters also feature a number of standard-setting innovations that help improve engine performance in high-leverage operating conditions, such as a 22-psi filter bypass valve; low-restriction racing media that delivers high oil flow; 94% efficiency at 20 microns*** for excellent engine protection; maximum oil flow rate of 10 to 18 gpm, depending on filter model; and a silicone anti-drain back valve on some models. FRAM Racing Oil Filters are compatible with all oil types and are available in 13 different model sizes. This wide range of models enables the filters to be used with various vehicle makes and models, including all late model high performance engines.
