GERMANTOWN, Tenn. Complementing its primary radio ad campaign on Westwood One’s NFL broadcasts throughout the 2010 season, Parts Plus recently hosted its “Let’s Go To Hawaii” sweepstakes, with thousands of consumers entering at Parts Plus auto stores and Car Care Centers locations nationwide, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Automotive Distribution Network.
Grand-prize winner Jeff Bates, of Pevely, Mo., will receive the Football Fantasyan expenses-paid trip for two to Hawaii to participate in pro football’s All-Star Week festivities in January, including the opportunity to meet the Westwood One broadcast team. The owner of Pevely Plaza Auto Parts also earned a trip for two to Hawaii for submitting the grand-prize-winning entry. Phoenix’s Imogene Bennett won the 1st prize of $5,000 in new kitchen appliances, while Tom Hunsaker, from Dayton, Ohio, was awarded the 2nd prize, an Alaskan cruise. Parts Plus also awarded approximately $70,000 in additional runners-up prizes, including iPads, HDTVs and hundreds of instant-win scratch tickets with smaller items.
“Professional football continues to be the hottest sport in America, so Parts Plus was proud to offer fans the chance to win an amazing football experience,” Lambert said. “Being associated with pro football further enhances the image of our Network affiliates nationwide, generating tremendous in-store and Web-site traffic.”
As part of their sponsorship, Parts Plus ads promoting the “Let’s Go to Hawaii” sweepstakes aired on Westwood One during their early-season NFL broadcasts. Parts Plus auto stores and Car Care Centers continue to be mentioned as part of in-game features on Westwood One throughout the regular season and the post-season.
Operating under the brands of Parts Plus, IAPA, AutoStar, Auto Pride, CMB and Network Products, the Automotive Distribution Network is one of the largest, most diverse program groups in the industry.
