Rematec Amsterdam, the world’s leading remanufacturing trade show, makes its return this June.
After four years of absence, international solution providers are eager to share their latest technologies.
Trends such as electrification, shared mobility platforms, connectivity and autonomous driving are about to have a strong impact on the automotive aftermarket. There is consolidation throughout the supply chain, and OEMs are taking stronger positions. There also is a big push for sustainability.
Remanufacturing is a central pillar of the circular economy, so Rematec is a must-attend event for the remanufacturing ecosystem to catch up on trends and developments.
Rematec Amsterdam is co-organized with APRA and will be held in RAI Amsterdam June 27-29.
Focused on Future Trends in Remanufacturing
The worldwide focus on sustainability and the circular economy, in combination with the current price increases of raw materials, require sustainable manufacturing methods. Today’s technological trends are becoming more complex and remanufacturing processes are becoming more sophisticated. The remanufacturing industry has the knowledge and expertise to produce sustainably and improve the product life cycle.
This year, Rematec focuses on three main pillars: electric vehicles, battery-pack remanufacturing and sustainable manufacturing.
As a result of the electrical paradigm shift and to prepare new strategies, remanufacturers must follow the new technical developments closely and start to study and research these new systems and their new components immediately. The rising demand for batteries throughout the world puts immense pressure on the earth’s scarce resources. This means the potential for remanufacturing is high, but the traditional approach to remanufacturing is not applicable. A large and growing number of manufacturers are realizing substantial financial and environmental benefits from sustainable business practices. These companies are treating sustainability as an important objective in their strategy and operations to increase growth and global competitiveness.
Global Remanufacturing Expertise
With more than 150 exhibitors, including Borg Automotive A/S, Autocraft Solutions Group, Stellantis, Robert Bosch, Valeo Service and Encory, Rematec 2023 brings together remanufacturing experts from all over the world. Aftersales, parts and supply chain managers will find products, solutions and new partnerships in remanufacturing processes.
APRA Europe, the founding partner of Rematec, is very happy to see that the event is back on track.
“We recommend everybody who is active or interested in the remanufacturing business worldwide to visit the exhibition,” says Daniel Koehler, chairman of APRA Europe. “It is the place to network and get up to speed. Remanufacturing is the most sustainable business model and an integral part of the circular economy.”
Reman Challenge 2023
This year, Rematec will host the first Reman Challenge in collaboration with BORG Automotive. The challenge will connect universities and students with Rematec exhibitors and visitors.
The challenge will focus on the assessment of the megatrends expected to affect the automotive remanufacturing industry in the next five to 10 years. The student groups of selected universities will make propositions for these challenges and will have a platform at Rematec 2023 to present and demonstrate their propositions.
