PENDLETON, Ind. – Remy International, manufacturer of Delco Remy heavy-duty starters and alternators as well as Remy light-duty starters and alternators, says it released a total of 206 light-duty aftermarket part numbers in 2014 — with even more growth planned for this year, including the addition of two new product categories.

“We offer the highest level of coverage in the industry,” says Dave Nichols, senior vice president of aftermarket aales at Remy International. “For alternators, our coverage extends to 242 million vehicles, and for starters, we cover 235 million vehicles. This vast coverage allows our channel partners to more effectively respond to their customers’ needs.”

New Starter & Alternator Coverage in 2014 included:

* New part numbers released in 2014: 206
* Additional 2014 coverage: 52.9 million vehicles
* 2013-2’14 vehicles: 10 million
* Import vehicles: 38.8 million

Remy says it offers part numbers for practically every car manufacturer, including Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Honda, Cadillac, Ram, BMW, Toyota, Acura, Kia, Dodge, Chevrolet, Scion, Lincoln and Volkswagen. In 2015, Remy plans to add parts at the same fast pace as it did in 2014. “We’ll add just as many new part numbers — if not more — in 2015,” Nichols said.

Now Offering Brake Calipers and Axles
In addition to growing the parts for starters and alternators, Remy plans to release coverage for two new categories: brake calipers and axles.

“We’re expanding beyond starter and alternator part numbers. Now we’ll also have remanufactured brake calipers and new and remanufactured CV axles,” Nichols added. “This expansion allows us to be more of a one-stop shop for our partners.”
