TORONTO Visual SKUs, a provider of 360-degree product photography, still product photography and digital asset management solutions, has announced that Robert Bosch LLC has partnered with the company to capture, process and format 360-degree product images for some of its products.
Bosch requested images for many of its product categories, with the objective of increasing sales through customer channels, while also minimizing product returns, building awareness for Bosch brands and differentiating its products from competitors.
After an extensive search for a high-volume product imaging provider, Bosch said it selected Visual SKUs because of the company’s on-site solutions, the company’s years of experience and its track record of successfully completing large-scale product imaging projects.
According to Visual SKUs some of the benefits of producing 360-degree product images include:
1. Capture still and 360 product images concurrently saving time and money. 360-degree product images are a series of still images that, when placed in a viewer, provide the customer the ability to pan and zoom around the product. When Bosch captures 360-degree images they will not need to capture still images separately; they select the still images needed from the 360 images.
2. Increase sales with 360 product images. Many businesses using 360 images are experiencing higher sales when compared to still images alone, according to Visual SKUs.
3. Maximize competitive advantage. Since the marketplace has been slow to adopt 360 product images, Bosch believed it might have the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage by being first to market with 360 product images.
Michael Stoll, director, catalogs, at Robert Bosch LLC stated, “We selected Visual SKUs as our imaging partner because they were able to deploy their studios in our distribution center avoiding the need to ship products. We also felt that their photography, editing and project management software would ensure that image production levels and quality standards were met.”
