Sika Automotive Receives 2016 Ford South America Top Supplier Award

Ford recognizes its best partners, annually, with the Top Supplier Award and Sika Automotive was honored to receive the award in the category of Raw Materials and Stamping.

SPA-15452_logoMADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Sika Automotive has been recognized as one of Ford Motor Co.’s top suppliers in South America.

Ford recognizes its best partners, annually, with the Top Supplier Award and Sika Automotive was honored to receive the award in the category of Raw Materials and Stamping.

The Top Supplier Award is the highest distinction Ford conveys to global suppliers across 13 categories – including Exterior, Body and Interior, Chassis, Electronics, Powertrain, Powertrain Installations, Raw Materials and Stamping, Packaging, Services, Logistics, Equipment, Accessories, and Truck. Recipients are evaluated based on a variety of indicators for quality, cost and contribution for cost reduction, product development, customer service, logistics and production.

The 2016 Top Supplier awards for South America were presented July 20, at Ford’s global leadership meeting in São Paulo, Brazil. Ford leadership in attendance included Hay Thai-Tang, Vice President of Global Procurement; Birgit Behrendt, Vice President of Program Procurement and Global Operations; Greg Hamel, Director Global Procurement; and Robin Wright, Director of Technical Assistance to Suppliers in South America. Accepting the award on behalf of Sika were Alessandro Alagna, Head of Sika Automotive South America, and Rossano Monteiro, Brazil National Sales Manager for Sika Automotive.
