I have some questions about R-134 air conditioning systems. With the high temperatures of south Texas this summer, the low side pressure has been increased by about 5psi in the heat of the day on various vehicles. Is the increase in pressure caused by air in the system expanding and being pushed through the system by the compressor? This is resulting in air conditioning not being as cold because of the pressure build. If this is the case, what is the best way to bleed the air out of the system?
I have a ‘98 Mercury Mountaineer with a 4.0 SOHC and we have had a problem with it dying at red lights and stop signs.
I have a ‘98 Mercury Mountaineer with a 4.0 SOHC and we have had a problem with it dying at red lights and stop signs. We have already replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs and wires and a coil pack. It feels like its not getting fuel but then also sounds like the cat is clogged up or at least starting. Anybody have any idea how to help. Oh yeah and there is no check engine light and no pending codes in the memory. HELP.
Why is it that our customers ask us to read the check engine light and then ask us to clear it if they will not fix the problem? They get upset when the light comes back on, and they don’t understand if you dont fix the problem the light wont go away.

I have a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8 Supercharged. When the mass air flow sensor is plugged in the cars RPMs surges when it idles. If I unplug the MAFS the RPMs raise to about 1,000 rpm. I put a brand new TPS and IACV on it.

If my car’s check engine light is on and the plug on the oxygen sensor is melted would the check engine light come on because of that?

I have a ‘98 Chevy pickup with the 4.3l automatic transmission. Lately it was giving me a lot of trouble shifting gears. After a lube service on the transmission all the gears went really nice and without hesitation. But after a week the transmission it went into neutral on all gears. Could it be the shifting solenoids or a mechanical issue??
