Tara Corpus Receives ‘Know Your Parts’ Prize Package

The AASA "Know Your Parts" booth featured a scavenger hunt for industry technicians who attended AAPEX 2019.

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) “Know Your Parts” booth featured a fun and educational scavenger hunt for industry technicians who attended AAPEX 2019.

The Know Your Parts Scavenger Hunt will return to AAPEX 2020, which is set for Tuesday, Nov. 3, through Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

Tara Corpus, owner of Automotive Solutions, took home the grand prize after visiting all participating supplier booths. Participating organizations included: BCA, Continental, CRC, Delphi, DRiV, KYB, Lumileds, MAHLE, Schrader, SKF, Spectra Premium and Standard Motor Products.

Automotive Solutions is a small neighborhood garage started by Tara Corpus and her husband, Joe, more than 21 years ago. Since opening, it has expanded into a commercial-fleet automotive repair facility. During the growth, Tara and Joe welcomed their two sons, Joe Jr. and Israel, to support business operations.

“We like to see ourselves as a small family business with big business sense. Nothing is too big or too hard for us, and our customers know they can count on us,” Tara Corpus said. “Being able to participate in AAPEX and SEMA are the best supportive tools in our industry that help small business like ours remain competitive in the automotive repair industry. We appreciate all the effort and dedication all those involved contributed to make the event a success and my technicians look forward to going each year.”

“We congratulate Tara and her team on a well-deserved win,” said Ben Brucato, AASA senior director of engagement. “Know Your Parts is proud to offer fun and creative ways for teams like Tara’s to learn about new aftermarket tools, accessories and product innovations.”

The Know Your Parts website received a record-setting 3.8 million visits this year, up 79% from 2018. The Know Your Parts website supports auto technicians with tips on car troubleshooting, auto diagnosis, car parts information and general repair advice.
