US Motor Works Announced As Water Pump Supplier For The Elio, An Ultra-High Mileage Vehicle

The three-wheeled Elio is engineered to attain a highway mileage rating of up to 84 mpg while providing the comfort of amenities such as power windows, power door locks and air conditioning, accompanied by the safety of multiple air bags and an aerodynamic, enclosed vehicle body.

 

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. – US Motor Works LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of water pumps, fan clutches, electric fuel pumps and timing kits for the automotive and heavy-duty industries, has been selected as the water pump supplier for the new, ultra-high mileage vehicle by Elio Motors.

Founded by car enthusiast Paul Elio in 2008, Elio Motors Inc. represents a revolutionary approach to manufacturing an ultra-high-mileage vehicle. The three-wheeled Elio is engineered to attain a highway mileage rating of up to 84 mpg while providing the comfort of amenities such as power windows, power door locks and air conditioning, accompanied by the safety of multiple air bags and an aerodynamic, enclosed vehicle body.

The Elio will be manufactured in Shreveport, La., in a 4.1-million-square-foot facility previously owned by General Motors.
