Employees, families and friends of Federated member Vaca Valley Auto Parts raised more than $6,000 for the annual Solano County, California, “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” fundraiser held in October.
“Due to the pandemic, there wasn’t a gathering like there has been in the past,” said Traci Taylor, sales manager for Vaca Valley. “The event this year was themed ‘walk in your own neighborhood.’ We want to thank everyone who donated to our team and the cause. Overall, this year’s walk raised over $88,000 to help end Alzheimer’s.”
Team Vaca Valley walks every year in memory of Evelyn Martin, as well as all of the loved ones, family and friends affected by Alzheimer’s. Martin, one of the founders of Vaca Valley Auto Parts, passed away earlier this year at the age of 80.
