Winners Of Akebono’s ‘Guess The Number’ Contest At AAPEX Announced

The contest was developed to bring awareness to a recent product expansion, that Akebono now offers abutment clip hardware for all popular applications across all three brands; ProACT, EURO and Akebono Performance, totaling more than 400 part numbers.

Last month, the Akebono team put visitors of its “The Hardware You Need, with the Brakes You Trust” themed booth at AAPEX 2019 in Las Vegas guessing ability to the test; where it gave eligible participants an opportunity to guess the total quantity of premium 301 stainless steel pieces contained in the show-floor display. The contest was developed to bring awareness to a recent product expansion, that Akebono now offers abutment clip hardware for all popular applications across all three brands; ProACT, EURO and Akebono Performance, totaling more than 400 part numbers.

Congratulations to all the winners with prizes totaling almost $3,000!  The actual number of pieces was 4,644 pieces and we had an amazingly close guess of 4,640!” stated Edward Gerhardt, marketing and data service manager, Akebono Brake Corporation. “The contest was a huge success, the sales team and customers had a lot of fun with it, interacting and bringing awareness to the changes of our product!  A special thanks to my team, that helped me count the clips and assemble the display.”
