WIX Filters Announces 2021 FFA Scholarship Winners

Four exceptional students across the United States each will receive a $1,000 scholarship and two will receive a $2,000 scholarship to help them continue their higher education and career goals.

WIX Filters has announced the 2021 National FFA Organization scholarship winners, with funds totaling $8,000.

Four exceptional students across the United States each will receive a $1,000 scholarship and two will receive a $2,000 scholarship to help them continue their higher education and career goals. 

“WIX Filters has a long, rich history of supporting FFA and the future leaders in our industry– over three decades,” said Alison Grabowski, senior marketing manager for WIX Filters. “We are excited to come alongside these students as they pursue higher education, taking one step closer to their goals and aspirations.”

The application process assesses FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics. The six students who received scholarship funds are listed below. Their intended careers include jobs in the diesel agriculture service, construction, engineering, agriculture business and welding industries. They are: 

  • Joey Herron, Rock Port FFA
  • Lee Michalik, Bellville FFA
  • Dallas Wittenburg, Wapsie Valley FFA
  • Clinton Drennan, Ballinger FFA
  • Abby Frisk, New Lisbon FFA
  • Zander Kaufman, Meridian FFA 

Applicants must be FFA members, retain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and intend on a major in agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanization, agricultural power and equipment or diesel mechanics. Students also must live on a family farm, exhibit financial need, have participated in community service and demonstrate leadership.
