SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Wagner brake pads have been selected for the prestigious Frost & Sullivan North American Product Leadership Award for the fourth consecutive time.

The award is presented to the automotive brake products brand with the highest combined score across nearly 20 performance categories in a survey of professional automotive technicians.

Manufactured by Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., Wagner pads are the first four-time winner of the award. Professional technicians selected the Wagner Brake Products brand as the best overall brand of replacement brake pads by a nearly 2-to-1 margin, consistently citing product quality, quiet performance, longevity and ease of installation as leading reasons why they prefer Wagner pads.

Among the comments received from technicians were, “They don’t squeak, they wear more evenly and they stop you better”; and “I like the way they are made; the present compound they use makes them stop better and last longer.” As a premier global manufacturer of friction products for the original equipment and replacement markets, Federal-Mogul Motorparts is at the forefront of brake pad technology for today’s vehicles.

The company operates a network of Wagner advanced engineering labs focused on developing each new generation of industry-leading friction formulations and brake pad designs.

“Every Wagner Brake product is developed and tested to the most stringent quality and performance standards in the industry, but the ultimate judges of our products are the professional technicians who each day specify and install brake pads to help keep their customers safe,” said Chris Battershell, director of brake product management, North America, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “The fact that we were the best-performing brand in a survey of technicians is a testament to our commitment to advanced research and development and world-class product quality.”

The North American Product Leadership Award and other Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.

Customer research analysts conduct a variety of surveys to identify best practices in each industry.
