LANGHORNE, Pa. — Eastern Catalytic, has announced that the company will be featuring a special “ASK THE TECH” program during the 2014 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas. This is in addition to an exhibit that will showcase Eastern’s application coverage for CARB compliant catalytic converters and overall industry leadership in manifold converter development. The announcement was made by Henry Hippert, executive sales director, who noted that show visitors will be able discuss any and all emissions questions or issues with a Certified ASE Master Technician at Eastern booth No. 625.

Hippert also said that “ASK THE TECH” emissions discussions would be handled throughout the show by Charlie Pantano, Eastern emissions certification engineer and Jack George, Eastern advanced emissions specialist.

Pantano heads up Eastern’s emissions certification efforts. He has been with the company since 2009 and is credited with helping Eastern establish a formidable emissions certification program that has been instrumental in helping Eastern to dramatically expand its CARB compliance program and establish a leadership position in manifold converters.

George has been with Eastern since 2011 and plays a vital role in assisting customers in all emission related technical issues as well as on site customer training. He has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive service business. A Certified ASE Master Technician, George also is certified as ASE Advanced Level-Engine Performance Specialist and a Ford Master Technician.

Fast growing CARB program
On display at AAPEX will be key examples of Eastern’s 2015 ECO CARB Converter program, which continues to expand rapidly and has already earned 22 Executive Orders (EO) from the California Air Resources Board. These EOs provide exemptions for over 1,000 Direct-fit and Universal catalytic converter part numbers that can be used as aftermarket replacements on California registered cars, vans, SUV s, and light trucks. The program offers aftermarket replacements for over 60,000 applications on both pre and post OBDII cars and trucks.

Leadership in manifold development and coverage
Several years ago, Eastern anticipated the potential demand for manifold converters and invested heavily in a manifold program that today offers more than 150 part numbers and delivers thousands of applications for a wide variety of popular domestic and import cars, vans, light trucks, and SUVs from 1987 to 2013.
