Dayco has announced the availability of serpentine belt kits in North America, marketed and sold as Dayco Demanding Drive Kits.

“Many of today’s modern vehicles possess complex accessory drive systems that require the replacement of all worn components in order to operate efficiently,” said Robert Christy, director of marketing for Dayco. “Dayco Demanding Drive Kits provide the professional technician or do-it-yourself customer with all of the required components to ensure a quiet, problem-free belt drive system.”

Designed for the replacement of worn or damaged serpentine belts, tensioners and pulleys, Dayco says its new Dayco Demanding Drive Kits are a convenient solution when replacing all of the major components in the accessory drive system. Engineered for drives prone to belt noise and warranty claims in the North American market, Dayco’s 14 part numbers cover nearly 40 million vehicles in operation.

“Dayco is committed to the innovation of advanced engineered products that meet or exceed customer needs for fuel efficiency, emissions reduction, minimizing NVH and performance enhancement,” said Jay Swope, Regional Commercialization Center manager of belt products for Dayco. “With the launch of these kits, we have responded to market needs on the most demanding belt drives with focus on improving operational performance and reducing comebacks for our customers.”

Dayco Demanding Drive Kits include the new Dayco Poly Rib W² Serpentine Belt, which uses advanced, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to ensure it is one of the quietest belts for today’s vehicles, according to Dayco. It also is available for the most demanding drives. These application-specific kits can include the Dayco Poly Rib W² Serpentine Belt, Dayco No Slack Automatic Belt Tensioner, Dayco No Slack Idler/Tensioner Pulley and Dayco Overrunning Alternator Pulley, when applicable.
