Six common mistakes include:

1: Reusing an MLS head gasket. Don’t do it and don’t let your customer do it!

2. Replacing an original MLS head gasket with a conventional one.

3: Failing to recommend an upgraded aftermarket head gasket.

4: Replacing same with same.

5. Re-using torque-to-yield (TTY) head bolts.

6. Forgetting to remind your customer to install gaskets dry.
