Should all bearings be replaced on a vehicle where one wheel bearing has failed? Counter intelligence is next! Hi guys, it’s Mark Phillips. Wheel bearings are one of the most important safety-related parts on a vehicle. It one goes bad, it can create a very dangerous situation. Because of this, it’s imperative that if one front wheel bearing unit goes bad on a vehicle, for example, both fronts should be replaced at a minimum. This recommendation will not only save the motorist a bit of money down the road but also will keep them safer.

How long bearings last often comes down to how a vehicle is driven. A vehicle used for commuting on highways, for example, will often last longer than bearings on a vehicle used in stop-start city traffic or one that frequently hits pot holes.

Wheel bearings. They keep the world rolling by reducing friction and allowing the wheels and axles to spin while a vehicle is in motion. So, if your customer calls asking to buy a single bearing, it’s always a good idea to remind them of the wisdom of replacing two or four at the same time. I’m Mark Phillips. Thanks for watching.
