SKF Launches Social Media Program

New social channels will provide SKF customers with increased access to technical and product information.

ELGIN, Ill. – SKF has launched a Twitter page (Twitter handle: @SKFPartsInfo) and YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/skfpartsinfo or www.skfpartsinfo.tv) to provide automotive and heavy-duty technicians and fleet managers with an additional source of SKF product and technical information.

Assembled by a team of ASE-certified technicians and SKF engineers, the social media content provides instructional installation videos, technical tips and product information covering wheel end, drivetrain and engine components for the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket.

The YouTube videos highlight everything from product information about SKF premium wheel bearings and seals to diagnostic tips and proper removal and installation tips for automotive and heavy-duty applications, while the Twitter page connects followers to the latest YouTube videos as well as other SKF technical tips and product overview information available.

“Our goal for starting a social media program is to provide customers with useful product and technical information that can be accessed anytime, anywhere whether online, at home or on a mobile device,” said Brian Jungmann, marketing communications project leader, SKF. “We also encourage our social media followers to interact with us and to let us know what new information they want to receive.”
