Bond Auto Parts Believes In The Power Of A Wish

This year, 65 members of the Bond Auto Team walked together, raised funds and presented Make-A-Wish Vermont with a check for $62,000 in support of the Walk for Wishes.

BARRE, Vt. – On Sept. 15, Make-A-Wish Vermont celebrated past, present and future wish children at the 10th Annual Walk for Wishes in South Burlington, sponsored byBond Auto Parts. Hundreds of people joined together, including more than 65 Bond Auto employees, to help raise awareness and funds to grant the wishes of Vermont children living with life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish Vermont grants wishes to Vermont children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since their inception in 1989, Make-A-Wish-Vermont has granted the wish of every medically-eligible child, more than 650 wishes to date.

The Walk for Wishes is a short 3-mile loop that focuses on the Celebration of Hope. After the Walk, wish stories are shared and new friendships are made. Thanks to the dedication and support of Bond Auto, volunteers, in-kind donors, sponsors and fundraisers, this year’s walk raised the funds needed to grant more than 10 wishes this coming year, for a total of more than $100,000.

Ten years ago, Bond Auto Parts and the Bond Family made a commitment to support the Walk for Wishes. They have been steadfast in that commitment and have not taken the responsibility lightly, they say. This year alone, 65 members of the Bond Auto Team walked together, raised funds and presented Make-A-Wish Vermont with a check for $62,000 in support of the Walk for Wishes.
