WIX Filters Ramping Up 2014 Programs Supporting Automotive Excellence

Awards support game changers representing national technical schools, counter professionals and those who are driving performance.

GASTONIA, N.C. – WIX Filters is partnering with Babcox Media to sponsor three automotive excellence awards in 2014, including a new Driving Performance Award that recognizes game changers in automotive service.

“Our national award programs are designed to support excellence at every level of the automotive aftermarket industry,” said Mike Harvey, brand manager for WIX Filters. “This year’s programs offer excellent opportunities for technical schools, counter professionals and service shops to demonstrate excellence in their respective areas of the industry.”

The awards are:

•School of the Year – Open to all high schools or post-secondary schools that have a subscription to Tomorrow’s Technician magazine. Judges will review entry criteria and select a winner from the top schools from four regions in the U.S. For more information, visit www.ttschooloftheyear.com.

Counter Professional of the Year – Recognizes an automotive aftermarket parts professional who goes above the call of duty; invests in professional development; and is an ambassador for the aftermarket. For more information, visit https://www.counterman.com/CPOTY.aspx.

WIX Driving Performance – Recognizes the skills and professionalism of today’s automotive technicians, from demonstrating excellence in the automotive service industry to raising the bar in customer service. For more information, visit www.wixdrivingperformanceaward.com.
