Gates Expands Product Line With More Than 200 New Part Numbers

The expansion includes the introduction of Dodge turbocharger hose kits, Micro-V Aramid belts, electric water pumps and emission hose.

DENVER, Colo. – The Gates Corp. has expanded its extensive OE-quality automotive aftermarket products line with more than 200 new part numbers covering numerous late-model vehicles.

The expansion includes the introduction of Dodge turbocharger hose kits, Micro-V Aramid belts, electric water pumps and emission hose.

Dodge Turbocharger Hose Kits
Gates increases its line of turbocharger hose applications with additional OE-Plus Turbocharger Hose Kits. According to Gates, this convenient all-in-one kit includes a silicone hose and two T-bolt clamps for quick and easy replacement. With a high-quality silicone cover and a specially formulated fluoroelastomer liner that prevents oil seepage, this hose provides superior service life and excellent heat resistance. Ten new numbers provide broad coverage for Dodge applications for more than 4 million vehicles in operation.

Micro-V Aramid
Gates says it continues to excel in the development of automotive accessory drive belts, collaborating with OE manufacturers globally to continually evolve the performance and durability of belt drives with the most advanced Micro-V belt technology, construction and materials. Gates announces 11 new part numbers that are designed with an aramid tensile cord for vehicles that utilize aramid cord belts as original equipment. This construction creates an actual OE equivalent and sustains the integrity of the system – not just the belt, Gates says.

Electric Water Pumps
Gates introduces 12 new electric water pumps that fit popular applications covering more than 4.8 million vehicles in operation. The coverage includes electric water pumps for engine cooling, battery cooling on hybrid vehicles, turbocharger system cooling and heating applications. These direct replacement electric water pumps ensure an exact fit and easy installation while effectively restoring the cooling and heating systems to proper operation and performance.

Emission Hose
Gates adds 18 new OE-exact crankcase ventilation and emission hoses that are primarily available from the OE dealer only. These new hoses are constructed from high-quality materials for durability and maximum service life, the company says. According to Gates, these direct replacement hoses ensure an exact fit and easy installation while effectively restoring the emission system to proper operation and performance.

“It’s important that we stay in step with the original equipment manufacturers,” said Dave Miller, Gates vice president of marketing, automotive. “We’re especially pleased to announce the introduction of Micro-V Aramid belts, we feel like these belts exemplify the best technology and materials in the marketplace.”
