“TRW is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of original equipment (OE) safety systems and we bring all of this expertise into our aftermarket range. Our main objective is to support our customers with the highest-quality product and to ensure the safety message reaches every level of the supply chain," Thorpe said.

TRW’s friction material is made from a formulized mix of ingredients to facilitate a stable friction coefficient and offer excellent braking performance in hot or cold temperatures, at high or low speeds and under difficult or challenging conditions, according to the company. This is proven over millions of miles of real-world driving. Providing a dominant offering of chamfered, slotted and shimmed designs, the range comprises ceramic and semi-metallic brake pad sets. For a quieter and more comfortable drive, TRW’s brake pads are fitted with premium shims which act as a damper between the friction material and the brake caliper.
