New part numbers expand coverage for Asian, domestic and European applications.

BROADVIEW, Ill. – Bosch has expanded its disc brake pad coverage for Asian, domestic and European vehicles. This latest expansion offers five new Bosch Blue Brake Pad part numbers and five new Bosch QuietCast Brake Pad part numbers, including one copper-free set.

Bosch Blue Brake Pads
The five new Bosch Blue Brake pad sets that have been added to the lineup expand Bosch coverage for many late-model Asian, domestic and European vehicles such as the 2013-2014 Nissan Altima, 2012-2013 GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD, and 2011-2013 BMW X3. The additional part numbers together cover 0.6 million units in operation. Brake sets with included hardware kits are offered for applications such as the 2012-’14 Nissan NV1500, NV 2500 and NV 3500; and 2012-’13 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD. Built for the ‘everyday’ driver, Bosch Blue Brake Pads are designed to deliver quality, performance and value.

Bosch QuietCast Brake Pads
Bosch has introduced five new part numbers for its premium line of QuietCast Brake Pads, including one new copper-free set for 2006 BMW 525i, 2008 BMW 528i, BMW 528xi and 2004-’07 BMW 530i. Synthetic lubricant is included with all sets. Additional vehicle coverage includes 2010-’11 Toyota Prius, 2011 Lexus CT 200h, 2012-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 2012-’14 Hyundai Equus and more.

The new QuietCast part numbers cover an additional 1.1 million units in operation. They feature a pre-attached rubber core shim – the best available in the industry. Mainly used by original equipment manufacturers, the rubber core shim is exclusively offered by Bosch for the independent aftermarket.

“With one in every three vehicles in North America – Asian, domestic or European – using Bosch braking components, Bosch is committed to the research and development of new and innovative automotive technologies that will drive the industry forward,” said Rob Backode, director, product management, Braking, Robert Bosch LLC. “Continued expansion of coverage for late-model vehicles seen on the road is one of the many ways that Bosch supports automotive repair technicians and sales professionals that serve the needs of motorists.”
