Promotec Opens Its New Head Office

The building includes several meeting rooms, a wide convention room and a large space that will host an experimental car repair shop for demonstrations featuring the most sophisticated automotive equipment for vehicle servicing.

BOLOGNA, Italy – Promotec srl, the organizer of the Autopromotec show, has announced the opening of its new head office, a large building that will also be home to the trade associations historically linked to the exhibition, namely AICA, AIRP, Federpneus and Assoruote. Moreover, the building includes several meeting rooms, a wide convention room and a large space that will host an experimental car repair shop for demonstrations featuring the most sophisticated automotive equipment for vehicle servicing.

Promotec says it is thus creating the conditions that may lead to widen the range of its show by further strengthening the relationship between Autopromotec and its trade associations on one side and all aftersales companies on the other. All this is possible thanks to the new multifunction center, which provides a wide range of services where large, elegant and fully equipped spaces can be hired for training courses or discussions.

Now more than ever, with so many changes and developments happening in the market, the wide and complex automotive world needs to gather, meet, stay up-to-date, discuss and have a “network-building” capability in order to stay competitive and face the future and the challenges of increasing globalization, which has been exerting growing influence on this sector. Hence the need for a real automotive “power center,” says Promotec, a permanent place for business matchmaking meetings involving the main characters of the supply chain, with international activities playing a leading role in enterprise development.

The new location will not only provide tools and services, but also business-increasing activities: from attending the show to exploring new markets, from welcoming more and more foreign operators to planning new exhibitions in high-potential target markets. A busy meeting schedule is also in store for associations, including international ones: a new milestone was achieved on May 28, when the new head office hosted the EGEA (European Garage Equipment Association) annual meeting. Professional training plays a very important role in this ambitious project, Promotec says; in fact, several training courses, meetings and technical workshops will be scheduled in the upcoming months, with the on-site repair shop under the spotlight and companies providing their own products for the training. The synergy between associations and enterprises will thus turn the repair shop into a versatile space for training, promotion, communication, and research and development activities.

The building hosting the new head office covers an area of more than 2,000 square meters, and complies with the latest green building standards. Cutting-edge building techniques include photovoltaic panels as energy generators and solar panels providing part of the hot water used for indoor household purposes. Furthermore, a cavity located between the inner and outer shell, combined with isolating materials, prevents heat transfer and provides ventilation. To top it off, energy-efficient LED light bulbs provide 90 percent of the building’s light output.

Future events and initiatives related to the Autopromotec show, which will take place May 20-24, 2015, in Bologna, will soon be available on www.autopromotec.com.
