FRAM Grows UFC Presence With Sponsorship Deals Of Fighters Cerrone and Hendricks

Former welterweight champion Johny "Bigg Rigg" Hendricks seeks 2015 rematch with new welterweight champion Robbie Lawler.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – FRAM has extended its partnership with the UFC and signed two UFC athletes to sponsorship deals: former welterweight champion Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks and lightweight contender Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. The Team FRAM athletes will appear in future advertising and promotional campaigns for FRAM. In addition to signing Hendricks and Cerrone, FRAM will also support the UFC in 2015 through octagon signage in major fights and prominent advertising schedules on televised UFC fights and MMA websites.

Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks is the former welterweight champion and a two-time NCAA wrestling champion from Oklahoma State. Following a hotly contested bout with Robbie Lawler at UFC 181 in December, Hendricks conceded the welterweight title belt and is eagerly awaiting a potential rubber match with Robbie Lawler in 2015.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, winner of his last five bouts in the Octagon, took on and defeated Myles “Fury” Jury at UFC 182 on Sat., Jan. 3 in Las Vegas. Cerrone, who trains in Albuquerque, N.M., regularly drives his 40-plus-foot RV to his fight card appearances, opting for the comfort of his own space over airline flights.

“We’re excited to partner with these UFC athletes – their commitment and attitude in the Octagon make them the perfect extension of the ‘Do It Right’ mentality our filters and brand stand for at FRAM,” said Rich Fleming, vice president of sales and marketing for FRAM Filtration.
