LUXEMBURG – TMD Friction has launched new and more user-friendly TEXTAR and MINTEX catalogs for passenger cars and vans.

The new catalogs cover vehicle models produced worldwide from January 1999 to November 2014, accounting for almost every vehicle currently on European roads, containing detailed application data and technical drawings for every part.

New-Textar-catalogue“The new catalogs contain almost 2,000 pages of data, presented in a way that makes it quick and easy to find the right part,” said Daniel Tiemann, group online and digital marketing manager, independent aftermarket at TMD Friction.

The new spare parts catalogs were created via “Brakebook” – a digital catalog system exclusively developed for TMD Friction. Brakebook offers user-friendly search options and provides detailed results, making it easier to identify the correct replacement part the first time and thus reduces the risk of costly returns, according to TMD.

In addition to the printed catalogs, the website www.brakebook.com allows registered users to create their own mini catalogs using segments of data, tailored to specific product groups, parts from particular manufacturers or even special models, if required.

With the new Brakebook mobile app, available as a free download for both Android and iPhone devices, TMD Friction is putting this new catalog technology at its customers’ fingertips. The mobile version of Brakebook provides direct access to the same comprehensive catalog data and enables users to search specifically by TEXTAR and MINTEX part number, OE and cross-reference number while on the go.
