SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – OptiCat announced that it held a “successful” users’ meeting at the recent National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) conference.

OptiCat LLC, an automotive aftermarket supplier data management company, brought together suppliers and distributors from inside the aftermarket industry to discuss the “future of data” as part of its annual OptiCat Users’ Meeting.

The event took place April 23 in Orlando, Florida, at the conclusion of the Auto Care Association NCMA conference. Presenters at the OptiCat event included key industry distribution companies such as The Group (Federated/Pronto), O’Reilly Auto Parts and AutoZone, as well as OptiCat representatives. The speakers covered topics such as the importance of providing consistent, clean catalog data to distributors in order to facilitate effective selling efforts, the attractiveness of having available “net change information” to streamline the handling of data and the advantage OptiCat provides in the assessment, validation and distribution of data, including visibility within the OnLine Parts Research catalog.

“The OptiCat team is driven by the desire to improve the quality and speed to market of the data available in the aftermarket. This begins with understanding the needs of suppliers and data receivers, then being innovative in creating and implementing solutions within the supplier and receiver community,” said Bryan Thueson, chief operating officer of OptiCat.

The users meeting included presentations that provided OptiCat users with information about current and future OptiCat products and services. New program introductions included Image Sync Service and PIES validation within OptiCat’s OnTarget Pro validation tool.
