MIAMI – Things are moving fast for Florida’s National Performance Warehouse (NPW) as the company announces its second acquisition in two months. Last month, NPW completed its purchase of Racer’s Equipment Warehouse in Rhode Island. Yesterday, the company announced its purchase of The Frank Edwards Co.

Frank Edwards Co. is nearing its centennial, having started in business in 1916. The company operates from a 100,000-square-foot modern, highly automated facility in West Valley City, Utah.

NPW is a wholesale only operation supporting jobbers and retailers. Store operations under the purchase will soon be flying the Auto Value banner under new management. The new operators were not disclosed at press time.

Commenting on the acquisition, NPW President and CEO Larry Pacey said, “It was just a few weeks ago that I had the opportunity to say that we are always looking for good fits in traditional, engine or performance companies. The Frank Edwards Co. came along and was a fit and filled space we needed west of the Mississippi. We need to be in the right areas to service customers the same or next day and this deal continues to allow us to meet our goal.”

In response to the transaction Frank Edwards Co. President Bruce Hart stated, “We are a family run business and so are the NPW Companies. I believe our values and goals are aligned and being a member of the NPW family will be good for our customers, employees and suppliers for many more years to come.”
