BETHESDA, Md. — What better way to start Industry Week than a motorcycle ride to Death Valley? The annual Automotive Aftermarket Riders’ Club (AARC) “Ride for the Future” will journey to the famous national park to raise funds for the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. AARC seeks sponsors and pledges for its ride and plans to donate all proceeds to the foundation.

“We invite all industry professionals to join us for an exciting ride for a phenomenal cause. We’ll be cruising through some of the most legendary land in the country, supporting industry education at the same time,” said Bill Maggs, lifetime trustee of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and leader of the pack. “This year we hope to set a fundraising record for the ride, so if you can’t join us, please consider supporting a rider or making a donation to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.”

The 2015 AARC “Ride for the Future” will start from the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership on Thursday, Oct. 29 and head to Furnace Creek Resort at Death Valley National Park in California. Riders will have two full days to explore the park before returning to Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 31 with a scheduled arrival time of 6:30 p.m. PT.

“What could be better than two days in Death Valley followed by Halloween night in Las Vegas?” said Mike Mohler, vice president of National Pronto Association. “The ‘Ride for the Future’ is a great time and worthy cause. We are always looking for new riders or sponsors, so please contact me to get involved.”

Motorcycles can be rented from the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership with an advance reservation. For more information or to learn how to become a rider or sponsor, contact Mohler at [email protected] or visit the AARC Facebook page.
