BROADVIEW, Ill. — Robert Bosch LLC has added 29 new SKUs to several of its product lines. Additions have been made to Bosch Blue disc brake pads, rotating machines, gasoline direct injection (GDI) fuel injectors and fuel pressure sensors and Bosch fuel pumps.

In July, three new Bosch Blue Brake pad sets were added to the Bosch braking components portfolio to provide additional coverage for 1.5 million domestic and Asian units in operation. Specially designed to deliver quality, value and performance to the “everyday driver,” Bosch Blue brake pads feature OE-style, multi-layer shims that provide superior noise dampening characteristics, according to the company. For additional protection and value, select Bosch Blue Brake pad sets are towel-wrapped in a material similar to shop towels that technicians use on a daily basis while working on their customers’ cars.

One of the new SKUs comes with a hardware kit and covers vehicles such as 1993-’97 Geo Prizm and several Toyota models from 1996-2000. The two remaining SKUs cover 1995-’97 Ford Aerostar and 2014–’15 Mazda 6. Bosch starting and charging systems has announced the addition of 12 new part numbers covering 714,000 additional late-model European vehicles in operation in the United States. The new releases include both new and remanufactured Bosch starters and alternators for Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Land Rover and Volkswagen.

New Bosch alternators cover a variety of Volvo applications ranging from model year 2007 through 2015. New and remanufactured alternators are available for 2013-’15 Land Rover LR2 L4Cyl. 2.0L and 2012-’15 Range Rover Evoque L4 Cyl. 2.0L.

New Bosch starters cover several 2014-’15 Volkswagen models while Bosch Remanufactured Starters are available for 2014-’15 Volkswagen models as well as a variety of Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Audi models, some with start/stop systems. Bosch alternators and starters are 100 percent performance-tested and are designed for longer, more reliable service, the company says.

Bosch also added nine new high-pressure fuel injectors for vehicles equipped with gasoline direct injection. The new injectors cover 3.6 million European vehicles in operation, including BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover and Ford.

The new additions include a number of BMW models, such as the 2012-’15 BMW M6; 2013-’15 BMW X5; and BMW 550i xDrive; 2013-’15 BMW ActiveHybrid 3. Coverage of Audi models includes 2012-’15 Audi A6; 2010-’13 Audi A5 Quattro and others. For Volkswagen, coverage extends to 2008-’13 Volkswagen Jetta, 2008-’10 Volkswagen Passat, 2013 Volkswagen Golf; 2006-’08 Volkswagen Eos and more.

For the domestic aftermarket, Bosch has released two new fuel pressure sensors designed specifically for vehicles equipped with GDI systems. These sensors cover 845,000 vehicles in operation. Bosch GDI fuel pressure sensors feature a sturdy design, are vibration resistant and offer thermal stability. Specifically, Bosch GDI fuel pressure sensors are available for Buick Enclave, LaCrosse and Regal, Chevrolet Traverse, GM Acadia and Saturn Outlook applications ranging in model year from 2009-’11; as well as 2013-’15 Cadillac ATS and Chevrolet Malibu.

Bosch also has expanded its range of aftermarket fuel pump kits and modules with the addition of three new part numbers. The additions extend Bosch coverage of domestic and European vehicles by 347,000. A fuel pump module assembly is available for 2007-’08 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 and 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. Fuel pump kits are available for many BMW models ranging from 1995 to 2006.

“As an automotive industry technology leader, Bosch is keeping pace with the needs of service professionals that are seeing new technologies on vehicles entering repair shops,” said Thomas Winter, vice president, automotive aftermarket, Robert Bosch LLC. “As a result, our monthly new product additions now include parts for start-stop and GDI-equipped vehicles – both relatively new technologies for the aftermarket.”
