EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Accuride Corp., a supplier of components to the North American commercial vehicle industry, has launched a free mobile application that makes its wheel and wheel end product information and search tools accessible to customers from anywhere across the globe.

Accuride has taken the features and functionality of its website and developed a user-friendly interface for the iPhone operating system (iOS), Android and other mobile devices. The company says this new app provides a helpful, easy-to-use resource for Accuride’s commercial vehicle industry customers and company representatives alike, making it easy for them to find the component that’s best suited for their unique application.

  • Resource library for product sales, service and technical information
  • Installation and maintenance service videos for Gunite brake drums, automatic slack adjusters and more

“The changing dynamics of conducting business in the heavy truck industry drove Accuride to develop our new mobile app,” said Accuride President and CEO Rick Dauch. “This simple, user-friendly tool gives customers ready access to detailed information about our products, tools to help them calculate their added value, plus a series of videos that explain how to install and maintain them. With our sales force and customers in all sectors of the industry now relying on mobile devices, we believe that establishing this mobile platform will add real value for them. We plan to continue updating the app with new content that will expand the base we’ve established.”

Accuride teamed up with Gray Loon Marketing Group, an Indiana-based marketing agency, to build the mobile application. Gray Loon specializes in both digital and traditional media services, offering a diverse portfolio of clients with cutting-edge design, development and strategy, print creative, branding and public relations.
