MIAMI — National Performance Warehouse Companies (NPW) will begin its 2016 FAST Expo weekend with a gala evening dinner on Friday, Jan. 29, from the 18th floor of the historic Miami Beach Resort, formally known as the Doral. Located on Miami Beach, the Miami Beach Resort houses the famous Starlight Ballroom with its panoramic view of the inter-coastal and Miami skyline as well as the acclaimed infinity star effects that emanate from its windows giving a Star Wars-style view of the sky. This is where stars such as Dean Martin, Jackie Gleason and Frank Sinatra once entertained.
The NPW Million Dollar Vendor Club event is held annually to recognize NPW vendors in the million dollar-plus sales category, as a thank you for their efforts to grow NPW revenue.
This year’s event will be attended by dignitaries from AAM, Autometer, Bumper to Bumper, Centric, Dorman, Edelbrock, Federal-Mogul, Holley, NGK, Standard Motor Products and several other industry-leading brands. Guests who are members of the Club are presented awards and their names placed on the company’s Honor Cup for posterity.
This year’s guest speaker will be Bill Babcox, president of Babcox Media. (Editor’s Note: Babcox Media is the parent company of Counterman.) Mr. Babcox has been with Babcox for more than 30 years. With his various positions held during his tenure and the diversity of industry topics covered by Babcox Media, Mr. Babcox brings a comprehensive point of view on the aftermarket and auto industry to impart at the event.
Larry Pacey, CEO and president of the NPW Companies, offered these remarks about the Club and Expo weekend: “Our FAST Expo is the kickoff for our selling season. We appreciate what all our suppliers do for us and we wanted to do something special for them so we created the Million Dollar Club to recognize those at the forefront in growing our sales and hope that we encourage others to make it to the Club level as membership benefits our supplier, our customers and of course, NPW. We have added a few enhancements, which will be unveiled to Club members, too.”
NPW produces two other trade events, the 2016 KARS Expo March 11-13 in Toronto, and the CARS Expo in California on April 3.
