LIVONIA, Mich. — ATEQ TPMS Tools has added the TTD (Tire Tread Depth) gauge to its newest line of TPMS tool accessories. With the TTD accessory connected to the VT56 TPMS Tool, technicians can now provide a complete tire and TPMS sensor check during routine maintenance, the company says.
The TTD quickly captures inner, center and outer tire measurements with precise accuracy (+/- 1% or 0.0012 inches). The results are displayed on the VT56 screen with green, yellow and red color codes to indicate wear against the threshold. No charging or Bluetooth connection is necessary, just connect it to the VT56 to measure and record tire tread conditions and manage TPMS activities. Displayed results from the TTD measurement can be transferred to a PC or to an onboard SD card. Data collected can also be stored in the VT56 tool’s history or printed to the VT56 optional IR thermal printer to show a customer.
“We are excited to announce the first accessory for the highly successful VT56 TPMS Tool,” noted Bill Whitlow, Operations Manager. “Proper tire tread depth is important for safety, fuel economy, vehicle handling and tire life expectancy making it just as important as TPMS.”
