BROADVIEW, Ill. – The Bosch Automotive Aftermarket NA Giving Track charitable contribution program continues to extend support beyond the track, donating a total of $4,000 in the month of May. Through the Giving Track, Bosch pledges $1,000 to a team-specified charity each time one of its sponsored drivers secures a 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory.

Contributions for the month were split evenly between Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske, whose drivers have earned a total of $8,000 and $3,000 respectively in Bosch donations to date this season.

Throughout May, Bosch Giving Track contributions included the following:

  • On May 1, Brad Keselowski’s victory at Talladega secured a contribution to his Checkered Flag Foundation, which supports heroes and their families for the sacrifices they’ve made through grants, special events and more.
  • On May 7, Kyle Busch’s win at Kansas earned a contribution to the Kyle Busch Foundation, which works to empower children, families and communities to overcome hardship and to allow them to live their best lives possible.
  • On May 15, Matt Kenseth’s victory at Dover netted a contribution to Motor Racing Outreach, which works to support the motorsport community so that they may enjoy a more wholesome life together, and in turn, become good role models for millions of motorsport fans around the world.
  • On May 21, Joey Logano’s win at the Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte earned a contribution to the Joey Logano Foundation, which aims to inspire and assemble the NASCAR community to assist those who are in need of a second chance due to natural or human disaster.

“May was an exciting month for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, with a different driver taking the checkered flag in each race! With four of those winners being Bosch-sponsored drivers, we’re thrilled to spread the Bosch Giving Track charitable contributions across multiple deserving organizations,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Robert Bosch LLC, Automotive Aftermarket North America. “Through our partnerships with these champion drivers and all of our sponsored teams, Bosch is able to contribute at two significant levels. Its legacy of technical expertise helps to support on-track performance with Bosch parts and services. At the same time, we continue the philanthropic legacy of our founder with off-track support of team charities.”

Bosch involvement in motorsports dates back to the early 1900’s, and it has been equipping NASCAR teams with parts and technical advice since 1991. In 2012, when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series made the move from carbureted engines to more efficient fuel injected engines, Bosch became the sport’s exclusive oxygen sensor supplier. Beginning in 2016, Bosch has expanded its agreement with NASCAR to include fuel injectors and fuel pumps.
