With a recently remodeled training/conference center, an upgraded emissions lab and new state-of-the-art equipment, the SEMA Garage is hosting an industry Open House on July 28, 2016, from 5-9 p.m., with details at www.sema.org/openhouse.

Located adjacent to the association’s headquarters in Diamond Bar, Calif., the product develop center is an industry resource that helps manufacturers of automotive parts and accessories develop products quickly, easily and cost-effectively.

During the SEMA Garage Open House, SEMA members and those working in the automotive specialty equipment industry will be able to tour the 15,000-square-foot facility. Among the highlights are an Installation Center, a Photo Studio, a Training Facility and an Emissions Compliance Center recognized by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as a Certified Ready Automotive Emissions Testing Laboratory.

“Since opening the SEMA Garage just a few years ago, SEMA members have embraced the facility and all its capabilities,” said Mike Spagnola, SEMA VP of product development. “The strong industry support has allowed us to expand and improve on how we can assist with the product development process. We’ve upgraded the equipment and have added some amazing members to the team. The SEMA Garage Open House is a chance for the industry to see all that we have to offer.”

The SEMA Garage Open House is ideal for engineers, product developers and marketing professionals working with automotive parts and accessories. The facility includes two vehicle lifts, a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for 3D scanning, a 3D printer for fast prototyping, digital race scales for the most precise vehicle weight measurements, a dynamometer for power output measurements, a photo studio for promoting finished products and a training facility that can be used for media or rep meetings.

All SEMA members and industry professionals are invited to attend. There is no cost to attend the event, which includes complimentary food, drinks, music and giveaways in a clubhouse atmosphere. To learn more about the event or the SEMA Garage, visit www.sema.org/openhouse.
