Parts Warehouse/Bumper to Bumper, a member of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, would like to extend hearty congratulations to their Bumper to Bumper Customer Service Center — The Grease Pig Lube & Tune — of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Blake Hendricks, manager, has been selected by The Alliance as a 2016 recipient of a full scholarship to University of the Aftermarket’s Leadership 2.0 program — a two-week executive development experience that focuses on preparing the next generation of automotive aftermarket leaders.

Kent Atkins, owner of The Grease Pig Lube & Tune, says he nominated Hendricks because it’s a chance for leaders in the industry to learn from the best. “It’s something I wish I’d had when I was Blake’s age. I’m very excited that we are able to send Blake. It’s a great opportunity for him, as well as our business and our customers.”

Elizabeth Estes, director of training for Parts Warehouse/Bumper to Bumper says, “The Alliance’s scholarship program is incredible. Nowhere else do you see a group investing in this kind of training, not only for their own employees, but their customers as well. Leadership 2.0 is a once in a lifetime experience, and we are so pleased that Blake has been chosen to attend. He is a smart, talented, go- getter — exactly the kind of leader that the automotive aftermarket needs now and in the future.”

Bryan Jones, manager of Fayetteville’s Crow-Burlingame/Bumper to Bumper store was thrilled to find out that his customer had been chosen as the scholarship recipient. He said of the award, “I think it’s pretty cool that I work for a company who not only wants me to succeed, but they also want my customers to succeed.”

Session one of Leadership 2.0 will be held in Midland, Michigan, in August. Session two will convene in March, 2017, in Raleigh, NC. The scholarship, which covers course materials, meals, and tuition, has a value of $6,250.
