The Group Raises $350,000 For Toys For Tots At Annual Golf Tournament

Held in conjunction with The Group’s recent member meeting, the charitable golf outing featured a four-man scramble with a shotgun start.

More than 100 golfers, including members and vendor partners of the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group), recently helped raise more than $350,000 for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.

The golfers raised the funds at The Group Toys for Tots Golf Tournament, held at the Cowboys Country Club in Grapevine, Texas.

“The Group would like to thank Federated and Pronto members, as well as over 50 vendor partners, for their generous support of our Toys for Tots golf outing,” said Mike Allen, vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “We are happy to now be partnering with Pronto in our Toys for Tots efforts and by raising a record $350,000 for Toys for Tots together, we are helping to make Christmas a little brighter for many in need.”

Held in conjunction with The Group’s recent member meeting, the charitable golf outing featured a four-man scramble with a shotgun start. After the tournament, a reception took place at the Cowboys Country Club, where awards were presented and special recognition was given to the vendor partners of those who supported the tournament.

“Our members, customers and vendor partners have really embraced our Toys for Tots program and we are overwhelmed by their generosity,” said John Marcum, director of marketing for Federated Auto Parts. “Due to their continued participation, together we have raised over $2 million since 2012 for this worthy cause and have been named a ’Three-Star Partner’ by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.”
